COMMERCIAL WORKThis restaurant, bar and bakery served as Rhode Island’s only Snuggery, which is defined as “a cosy, comfortable place”. Residing in a 200 year old colonial in one of Providence’s historic districts, it was important to bring the space back to the warm home it used to be before it went commercial. The Duck & Bunny was branded using silhouettes reminiscent of the regency era. Classic European details like crystal chandeliers, Carrara marble tables and Cowtan & Tout wallpaper create the integrity of a traditional English Tea Shop. Whimsical twists on iconic masters grace the walls— ducks and bunnies inserted into Van Eyke and Seurat. The English garden, behind the house, served for Al Fresco dining with an herb garden used for cooking and cocktails. The Duck & Bunny was featured on the Cooking Channel, Phantom Gourmet, and in a multitude of new publications and magazines.
