This northern style barbecue restaurant resides on Providence’s trendy West Side. The restaurant was branded using block prints from the arts and crafts era for inspiration, which carried into it’s interior. Americana quilt pattern tiles provide a canvas for the back bar and Cole & Sons’ Woods and Stars wallpaper adorn the bathroom walls. Deer Damask wallpaper from Barney Gates graces the dining room, providing a warm color palette of deep Claret and metallic gold. A metallic gold patent leather covers the dining chair seats, complimenting the monogrammed backs that juxtapose the live edge benches with a little glam. A special lighting installation resides above the bar, using hand painted skulls by local artists and a rope drop design with unique vintage bulbs for ambiance. Cow hides and Shou Sugi Ban ship lapped walls provide the rough hewn texture as counterpoint to the gold metallic damask. The northern star pattern is repeated throughout the space and a custom diorama reflecting the logo’s image, stands out above the dining area. The white against black woods theme is reflected in a tree installation in the front window, adorned with the woodland animals you would find in the northern hemisphere, chalk painted to emphasize shape and add contrast.
