Newport Nest

The client wanted to update her Historic Newport condo for a fresh look, without purchasing all new furnishings. We kept all of the furniture in the living room, reupholstering some tired chairs to give them a stunning velvet makeover.

In the bedroom the furniture was replaced with an eclectic mix in lieu of her matching bedroom set. The printed wallpaper was removed and instead a fresh coat of navy was applied, while the woven grass paper was kept. The client's rugs were mixed in, with some new added. A coordinating Chinoiserie paper was applied to the bathroom, carrying the navy through.

The client loves Chinoiserie, so these Asian influences were added throughout the house, including the den, where a fresh coat of clue from Farrow & Ball warmed the space.
